Pablo San Martin
Pablo San Martín
As a producer, mixing engineer, and programmer, Pablo San Martín’s philosophy is driven by the desire to distill an artists’ essence into the music; to capture the artist’s nuances while building complete sonic worlds with emotion and edge.
Since founding Esoteric Sound in Brooklyn in 2015, San Martín’s career has blossomed, working with world class musicians and singers like Jorge Drexler, ANIMA!, Laura Rizzotto, Paquito D’Rivera and Nile Rodgers, among others. His career is being managed by Panapén Management, a collaboration that has helped him work with pop artists like Residente and NACH.
San Martin has been cultivating his talents since he was a teenager, playing drums and producing electronic music in his home studio. After graduating in 2014 from the world renowned Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production and Engineering, he had his first big break as an intern for Grammy-award winning mixing and mastering engineer Jonathan Wyner at his M Works recording studio in Boston.
In a bid to expand his network, take advantage of his multicultural upbringing, and reach a different market, the French/Chilean producer relocated to New York City in 2015 to build Esoteric Sounds; a move that would become essential to his artistic growth. Shortly after relocating, San Martín forged a bond with Nile Rodgers and Chic’s touring bassist, Jerry Barns, and has become Barnes’s go-to producer, mixing engineer.
In addition to his work Producer at Esoteric Sounds, San Martin has worked in some of the top recording studios in the world, including Abbey Road studios in London and Electric Lady Studio in NYC.
